Do employers generally only take a couple people? I guess a big part of my decision to fly out for interviews will depend on the chances I really have with the few interviews that I hope to bag.
Are you talking about for 2L or 3L positions?

The acceptance rate for 2L and 3L jobs is pretty low, lots of people get shut out, unfortunately. I'd still go unless you're really just looking at 1-2 interviews, or the jobs aren't things that you'd be super excited to do even if you got offers.

Dinged at the same (also 2L) but still live on the civil side? Do you think they're really separate or that I'm probably out there too? Sorry to get into reading tea leaves this early :)

(same anon as first quoted) I really don't know ... I'm assuming they're separate because the divisions do different things? So if you don't have a criminal background you'd be less likely to get an interview on the criminal side than the civil side? But I'm not sure what the overlap is.

Dinged at NDS myself (2L). I've recently had some family stuff come up so I doubt I'll be attending this fair anyways.

Historically, is not hearing anything until late a good sign, a bad sign, or a total non-factor?

I don't know if this is already been mentioned, but call your Congressperson and set up a tour of the capital with one of their staffers.

Anecdotally, I had 2 interviews last year as a 2L - and I got an offer for 1. So I think it's worth going if you can score something. I was a LOT less stressed come December.

As for not hearing, I think it's a total non-factor. It seems denials and acceptances are coming out at the same time. Last year, I got one interview within a couple days, and another one 2 days before the deadline.

What page is this on? I am on my my activity page and it says accepted but I can't see where I would sign up. If it matters my acceptance happened less than a half hour ago.

I think you can't sign up until after all the pre-selects go out (now I can't find where I read that, but it makes sense?)

I think that's right. Got accepted, but can't sign up by phone or computer. I wish they made all these processes more clear!
