Snail mail?
Snail mail. I called them to let them know I accepted an offer but they sent me a letter anyway.

So you don't get a contract or anything?

Nope. Contract goes out during the spring semester AFTER you (hopefully) received your permanent offer at the end of your SA. Remember that the SA is merely a trial period and sort of an extended interview process to make sure you don't turn out to be a weirdo in the workplace.

At least the coffee mug has the firm's logo on it. Those days of monogrammed hooded sweatshirts and jackets are over.

Getting near the closing of the window (if we haven't reached it already). NYC firms known for finalizing early.

Had my cb 4 weeks ago, still haven't heard. Should I assume a ding?

Recruiting told my friend who applied that their summer class was full.

Obviously, take with grains of salt, but I would assume the worst.

At Willkie:
4 minutes/hours = usual offer
4 days = nail-biter
4 weeks = R.I.P.

I assumes as much, but I had friends who had callbacks the same day as me and got dings within a week so I wasn't sure if they keep people on wait lists. I have expiring offers coming up so I'll have to call and follow up anyways.

Same. Already accepted somewhere else, but at this point I'm just curious.

I'd definitely split 7 wks NY, 3 Houston. Or even 6/4

Do you think they'll let most of us go to London/Houston if we put that down for the 1-2 week rotation? Any idea on how many spots they'd have?
