This is TCR. MNAT routinely no-offers summer candidates. That said, it's really a "the offer is yours to lose" sort of situation. All of the no-offers of which I'm aware involved people who had social issues (and i don't mean just being shy or quiet), acted with incredibly poor judgment/discretion, pissed off an important partner, produced horrendous work product, and/or did some combination of the above.Anonymous User wrote:i work in wilmington and that's not the version of events that i have heard (that it was only one or that it wasn't recently/a regular thing)Anonymous User wrote:Source? They all assured me that getting an offer is not an issue. One person who was considered did not get an offer a few years ago, but this was based on the fact that he was on the unique side socially and produced absolutely horrendous work. They said it was difficult to give him a pass with both things not going for him.

Re: Philly and Wilmington CB/Offer Tea Leaves
An associate who works there and summered there basically told me it's yours to lose if you summer there. They intend to give all their summer associates offers. So I imagine if someone did not receive one, there was a good reason for it.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone know about DM no offers? They weren't 100 percent last year

Whoops - just checked my email, I mistook their email for another firm. Didn't mean to mislead. I did a callback with MNAT about a week and a half ago and have not heard back yet. Do you guys think I'm toast or is it impossible to even know?

I know MNAT did same day offers earlier in the process (end of July). I don't know what they are doing now.Anonymous User wrote:I did a callback with MNAT about a week and a half ago and have not heard back yet. Do you guys think I'm toast or is it impossible to even know?

Anonymous User wrote:I thought it might be helpful to aggregate the "data" from the various school-specific OCI threads for those who have had or will have callbacks in Philly this season. I realize this has the potential to aggravate neuroticism and cause additional stress. But as someone who has yet to receive any offers here or in other markets, I think it can also be a huge relief to know whether we can stop holding our breath about certain firms or feel hopeful that certain firms haven't really started extending offers yet.
With that said, here's mine so far. Will edit to reflect dings or offers, if any.
Callbacks attended:
- Blank Rome
- Reed Smith
- Cozen O'Connor (dinged)
Callbacks pending:
- Pepper Hamilton
- Dechert
- Duane Morris
- Drinker Biddle

Haven't heard back. Good luck. I really liked them and they seem like a great firm to work for.

I know that PAC filled most of their class already. So it seems like this thread isn't a good representation of their status

Re: Philly and Wilmington CB/Offer Tea Leaves
I did CBs with both MNAT and Richards a couple weeks ago and was offered at both quickly. I am going to be accepting with MNAT, and from what I understand, both firms are at the end of the cycle.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
