Interviewing with 7: Faegre, Dorsey, Robins, Fredrikson, Briggs, Lindquist, and Stinson Leonard Street. Inside info on any? I'm targeting litigation - potentially patent litigation. Based on what I've heard, Faegre and Robins are the best places in the area to start a career, but I'd appreciate any other input. Feel free to PM as well. I'm planning to live in the area after graduating.
I guess I saw this post a little too late. I was part of the MMRC last week.
Anyone from MMRC got a call back yet?
I was not too impressed; the impression I got was that most of the firms were there to say they were there and help diversity, but none of them appeared to be excited to be there.

I wouldn't say Faegre and Robins are necessairly the best to start a career. Very subjective. Faegre and Dorsey are the largest. Robins has a reputation of being a sweat shop. Fredrikson has a solid reputation and very nice attorneys. The firm is known as "camp-Fredrikson" because they are very social during the Summer Associate program (lots of social activities). But not too many stuck up pricks. It's a good firm. Heard good things about Lindquist and Stinson. All in all, big law in Minneapolis can mean you will have a life. Although if you work at Robins that might not be the case.

CB from Dorsey, Robins, and Stinson. Haven't heard anything from Briggs, Faegre, Fredrikson, or Lindquist yet.

I should have been more specific: I've heard from a few attorneys that Faegre and Robins are among the best places to learn a lot early on, despite (and perhaps due to) the higher demands from the firm. I suppose that the "best place to start a career" would include a lot of other factors as well - especially that "having a life" thing. Thanks for the opinions! I'm hoping that callbacks will help me figure out where I really want to be. If you had the chance to pick among those seven, who would you be inclined to work for and why?
I don't want to hijack this thread - I'll set up a new one for people to discuss the Minneapolis market further and post the link here. EDIT:

Thanks for posting!
Still nothing from anyone in CO? I'm wondering if they'll wait until they do OCI at DU and CU.

Had a Paul Hastings CB a few days after BADCF, I think the timeline was ~3-4 days after the fair

Crazy surprising because I didn't think the screener went well at all.

someone at Michigan's OCI apparently got a
Gibson Dunn Denver CB, although they started OCI about a week after RMDLCF... wonder if that means that if we didn't get one from RMDLCF yet, we're out

Happy to PM if you post non-anon, but not publicly. Just too few people.

Polsinelli ding via e-mail, BC ding via snail. I think most are waiting for the ocis to finish. Where else are you waiting on?

Yeah same + Stinson, L&G

.
I'm hoping the firms were actually serious about recruiting there and not just a PR stunt.
