We've had several folks in the BB office in Dallas for interviews. Several more next week.

Fulbright Houston and Austin too. And the Fulbright dinner =/= callback.Anonymous User wrote:Summary of places we know have already given callbacks:
Skadden Houston, Susman Godfrey, Sidley Austin, Vinson & Elkins, Scott Douglass McConnico, Thompson & Knight, Bracewell and Guiliani (Houston), Latham Watkins, Fulbright Dallas, plus this whole Fulbright diner and Baker Botts brunch thing.
I'm sure I'm missing things. Quote and add more so we can have a comprehensive list.

Re: 2013 Texas OCI (+all Texas firms)
I was wondering if anyone can shed light on whether the callback-to-offer ratios of the big TX firms (particularly Locke Lord, Andrews Kurth, Fulbright) differ substantially from average. I have seen averages of 40% or 50% being cited for big firms.
I go to UT, and from my observations so far I don't think Fulbright, for instance, gave substantially more CBs than there are slots normally reserved for UT students. However, I have no idea if they gave out more callbacks this year to students from higher-ranked schools.
This is all speculative, of course.

Anyone have any idea when/if we should expect BB cb soon if we were invited to the brunch?

If you weren't invited to the reception does that mean you're not getting a callback?Anonymous User wrote:Anyone have any idea when/if we should expect BB cb soon if we were invited to the brunch?

Re: 2013 Texas OCI (+all Texas firms)
Can anyone tell me where to find a definitive guide to summer associate schedules? IE, which firms do first half, which do second half, and which only do whole summer programs for summer associates? A few firms have it on the website and some don't mention it anywhere.

Re: 2013 Texas OCI (+all Texas firms)
That seems to be the implication but I can't say with certainty. Someone said earlier in the thread that they told their returning 1Ls that people invited to the brunch were the ones that will be getting callbacks. It's unclear whether brunch guarantees CB though.Anonymous User wrote:If you weren't invited to the reception does that mean you're not getting a callback?Anonymous User wrote:Anyone have any idea when/if we should expect BB cb soon if we were invited to the brunch?

Can anyone elaborate on HayBoo Dallas' corporate group? I had not heard anything about associates leaving. Are you hearing anything about more leaving?

Dunno if more are leaving, but associates have left to Gibson Dunn and Akin Gump.Anonymous User wrote:Can anyone elaborate on HayBoo Dallas' corporate group? I had not heard anything about associates leaving. Are you hearing anything about more leaving?
From what Dallas Associates have told me, best corporate in Dallas right now is VE, Gibson, JD, and Weil.

Re: 2013 Texas OCI (+all Texas firms)
I don't know how Gibson Dunn has one of the best corporate groups in Dallas when their NALP form says their corporate group is 7 attorneys total. Ask your Dallas associate friends why they think Gibson Dunn has one of the elite corporate groups in town. Not attempting to be confrontational, I just don't understand it.Anonymous User wrote:Dunno if more are leaving, but associates have left to Gibson Dunn and Akin Gump.Anonymous User wrote:Can anyone elaborate on HayBoo Dallas' corporate group?
