flcath: have you had mock interviews? to know whats going wrong with your callbacks. Your credentials seem pretty solid for big law, considering you are an ok interviewee.

Yeah, I did one once I realized my CB conversion rate was bad. Beforehand I would've said I was a below-average interviewer (based purely on my CB conversion rate... the proof is in the pudding, right?), but nothing terminal. They actually told me I was above-average. I did find a typo that's been on my cover letter everywhere.

flcath, did you have any interviews with firms from the Northeast, TX, or Cali?

Resume dropped with the Northeast and TX, did some NYC screeners at OCIs, and had a CB at Cahill.

flcath, if it's any consolation ... When I told a girl where I went for law school, she was way more impressed with our mutual friend who is going to ND. Dat lay prestige.

Maybe med schools will feel the same way.

I would try really hard to get more resumes out in NYC, Boston, and Philly if you can. This area appears to be recovering much more swiftly than anywhere else (aside from maybe TX or Cali but not sure).
