went there today -- seemed like a few people were there. I think hiring committee met recently if that helps

not necessarily specific to proskauer, but i interviewed with another firm that told me if you interview close to the day or on the day the hiring committee meets, there's a 50/50 shot they won't be able to get all your evals together in time.

seems presumptive. it depends on how many offers they're making, but how many firms decide on one day, then make every single call that night?

so I've heard completely opposite things about proskauer... some people say it's a sweatshop, and I know others who say they don't have to put in a ton of face time or work crazy (for biglaw) hours. is this just a NYC/non-NYC office divide?

was at NYC yest--it really did not feel like a sweatshop at all. Felt really chill actually.

I was in the big batch from Saturday. I believe there were 24 of us Saturday, and an additional 6 yesterday. So 30 people for 4 spots. Not sure how many calls they make to get a yield of 4.

Were there 4 rounds of people on Saturday? I thought it was 10:30, 12:30, and 2:30. Maybe the other waves had more people than mine. Yeah, they told me on a few occasions that 4 is the magic number, since they had 3 last year, and felt they could bump it by one. I'm not entirely sure if I will accept it yet. In the next week or 2, I should have the bulk of my CB decisions, so I can sit down and consider everything with a clear mind. But its definitely one of my top choices, and I could totally see myself there.
