Thanks - I am more in the V50-100 range where there are not as many SA slots. Waiting to hear back from H&K and a few others.Anonymous User wrote:True.Anonymous User wrote:Depends on when you have callback and how many offers they already have out. At this point in time, 2 weeks - 6 weeks, given the 28 day offer expiration for earlier OCI and callbacks.
R&G. But that was a few weeks back. As above-poster's reasoning makes sense, this speed may not be a reasonable expectation at this point in the hiring season.Anonymous User wrote:Who did you hear back from in 5 days?

Curious to know why there is not much traffic on this thread. Is it because there have not been a lot of Boston offers yet or are students particularly tight-lipped in the area?

Cool, thanks. Mind if I was when, more specifically? I know their hiring committee met last Wednesday, were you after that, or not sure?Anonymous User wrote:Goodwin offer last week - about a week after my CB.
I think most places have a round of offers out, waiting to see their yield before making more. So it's quiet.Anonymous User wrote:Curious to know why there is not much traffic on this thread. Why do they keep telling us "you'll hear by the end of this week" or "next week" and then nothing at all happens? Good to know it's not just me -- must be huge piles of on holds in Boston firms. Any confirmation on the rumor that the yield rate on Boston offers has been really high this year?

Yup, it's not just you hearing those lines. Things have to start moving soon one way or the other, right?Anonymous User wrote:Why do they keep telling us "you'll hear by the end of this week" or "next week" and then nothing at all happens? WH ding in the mail, 6+ weeks post-callback. Don't know what the heck happened there, but maybe it means they're still considering people? Anyway, good luck for anyone still waiting on them.

This has been my experience too. Incredibly frustrating.

So what's the consensus on the Boston legal market this year? Seems like few offices are increasing class sizes at a pace comparable to NYC firms. Were people who targeted Boston generally able to to secure offers commensurate with what they would have gotten in other, larger markets?

Targeting Boston this year was very difficult and led to poor outcomes for many. Not sure why. Economy, hiring caution, more applicants from outside of Boston schools?...And apparently some are still waiting on hold. Maybe there will be more 3L slots next year?

You think the Boston schools have fared worse? I think the opposite. It seems like BU is doing really well in Boston, so I assume BC is as well.Anonymous User wrote:Targeting Boston this year was very difficult and led to poor outcomes for many. Not sure why. Cosigned. Thought I wasn't going through OCI last year, the general mood seems pretty upbeat, at least from what I can tell.Blindmelon wrote:You think the Boston schools have fared worse?
