If anyone is sitting on Chicago offers, please release if not likely to accept as others are waiting.

If they aren't going to accept them, I would gladly take their sloppy seconds (or thirds. Or anything, really.)Anonymous User wrote:Several NU people have offers from the NYC office.Anonymous User wrote:Anybody heard from Sidley NY post-CB?

Doesn't work that way, dude. Otherwise, I'd gladly give up my seconds.Anonymous User wrote:If they aren't going to accept them, I would gladly take their sloppy seconds (or thirds. The hiring partner at a Chicago firm e-mailed me to get coffee. I already did my callback with his firm. Is this more likely going to be an offer or more interviewing?

Wilson Sonsini NY cb invitation two days ago. Not sure what that was about, but I politely declined, so anyone still waiting on them, there's still a chance.

I would treat it as an interview and be pleasantly surprised if it's not. Have you met him/her yet? If not s/he may want to do so before they make a decision. Either way, bring all of your materials and wear a subdued tie/dark suit combo.Anonymous User wrote:The hiring partner at a Chicago firm e-mailed me to get coffee. ++1. Same happened last year w/ one of my friends at an NYC firm. It's an interview to choose between you and another candidate. Bring your A game. Good luck.Anonymous User wrote:I would treat it as an interview and be pleasantly surprised if it's not. Have you met him/her yet? If not s/he may want to do so before they make a decision. Would it be annoying to send a letter of rec to the recruiting coordinator post-CB but before a decision?

Probably annoying as shit, considering that recruiting office is jammed with tons of resumes. But then again, maybe give it a shot.Anonymous User wrote:Would it be annoying to send a letter of rec to the recruiting coordinator post-CB but before a decision?

Yeah, I received an offer couple of weeks back. I received my offer fairly quickly, but the dedicated thread seems to point toward them usually being slow. My guess is they have a lot of outstanding offers that they are waiting to hear back from.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone have an offer from Cadwalader NYC? I actually sent mine to the hiring partner post CB after being questioned about my grades during the interview with her. I think it just shows you really want it.Anonymous User wrote:Would it be annoying to send a letter of rec to the recruiting coordinator post-CB but before a decision?

Re: Northwestern OCI
How do you guys mobilize your letter-writers to write a letter quickly enough? Would you ever ask a professor you know would write you a recommendation to write an email to the hiring partner who asked you about your grades? Edit: the firm in question is not very formal.Anonymous User wrote:Ok cool, that's what I thought. Sidley ding via snail mail. Why could they not just email me?!
OH, right. They like the idea of keeping me miserable for three weeks.

Re: Northwestern OCI
I'm afraid that they might read a sense of your desperation here. This is not an app for admission to law school. Here, in the real world, they don't care about LOCI's or faculty support (if they've alreqey given you a low grade). It just looks too amateurish.Anonymous User wrote:How do you guys mobilize your letter-writers to write a letter quickly enough?
