Someone else a few pages back also got their offer call on a Tuesday, so it may be that their hiring committee makes calls that day.

It's possible, though, that they haven't yet reviewed your candidacy intensively.. Or they could be keeping you on as a 'reserve.' I wouldn't give up hope until you get bad news.

"Trying to track recruiting times" is largely futile imo. Timelines vary wildly not only from firm to firm, but also candidate by candidate.

I say go for it, but only if you're really interested in a firm or two (no more) you've yet to hear from. With a LOCI I think you risk hurting your candidacy if it sounds at all canned, and based on my difficulty in getting my EIP cover letters to sound marginally original, I'm going to guess that fresh, genuine LOCIs are equally difficult to write.
Do yourself a favor and pick just one or maybe two firms that you really care about, and try to write a really kick ass letter. At this point, the slim returns on LOCIs make them justifiable only if you like a firm a ton, and they're going to tip the scales in your favor only if they're outstanding.

I'm happy for you, but there are better forums (literally and figuratively) to seek advice re: choosing between offers. Reach out to people who summered at these firms (OCS sent out a list of who worked where), and talk to OCS. Not sure you're going to get much info from anon-posting in this thread. I'd also like to remind you that some of our peers haven't had the greatest luck at EIP, so please be mindful of that.

CC gets shitted on pretty regularly on here, so very likely people will recommend Willkie. But there are already several threads on this that you can find.

Check your email. The Senate sent out a spreadsheet with the names/firms/emails of all the 3Ls that were willing to chat about this kind of stuff.

Create a new thread in the Legal Employment forum if you really want the advice of anonymous TLSers. I think you'd be better served by talking to people IRL, but this thread is certainly not the place at any rate.

Just say thank you and that you're very excited about the firm. You can also add something more specific, like mention an associate you loved meeting with.

Is it necessary to "acknowledge" an offer?

I know Schulte makes you acknowledge an offer within 14 days. I think that is standard from the NALP guidelines* and in any case, it's a quick email or phone call to say that you are interested in the firm, even if you cannot give a yes/no at the time.
