How long does it normally take to go from CB ---> Offer/Ding?

Same question here.

Also, if one has an offer at hand and three days to accept, any advice on how to tactfully indicate this deadline to other firms that are holding out on making a firm decision? I don't want to come across as rude. For the other two firms it's been a month wait and counting and 5 days wait and counting...

a vocal minority are getting firm jobs
most people who aren't getting firm jobs aren't updating us constantly about it

having said that, i've spoken with ocs, and they've confirmed there's more action for 1Ls this year than in recent history
which is, i think, a pretty good sign for 2L oci as well

Exactly. 90% of people still aren't doing anything firm-related this summer. But 10% doing something firm-related is a 100% increase from 5% doing something, thereby giving quite the relative massive spike in 1L firm job offers.

I just emailed everyone "I'm still very interested in [firm] but I have..."

I'd try to get a bit of an extension though. Most of my offers have given me 2 weeks (but none have been firms).

Looks like firm strike-out for me unless something comes through at spring OCI.

Interviewing with a local water conservation PI firm this week, and have a USAO offer lined up for 2nd half. At least both together would qualify me for the PI/Gov funding my school offers.

I know of one Cooley Palo Alto offer for 1L at MVP, URM, top 15% with significant WE. Apparently only 2 offers were made for 1L Fellowship in PA.

i think the point is, there has been this massive spike given the upturn in the economy. holding out for firms was not a delusional move at all this year and many more people wish they would have. I have heard some DOJ / USAO spots are still recruiting now in February so one could have waited to hear from firms first.

I got a grades request and invite to their reception at Park tonight which has been cancelled. But i got the impression the reception was open to everybody. radio silence from s&c.

it's a HLS-wide reception today that was cancelled because of weather.

So with borderline grades, the job becomes more important. At this point, what can I do with bottom 1/3rd grades at a T14 to help even a little bit at OCI? Assuming I can swing up to near-median this semester, will an internship at a public defender's office be seen as a negative?

If you've had a callback, are you guaranteed at least a rejection email? Asked another way: For those who don't make the cut post-callback, do some firms just cease communication and let the candidates figure it out eventually?

well you can always follow up with the recruiter if you havent heard in a few weeks, or to update with another offer or something.

e: actually there is a firm that still hasnt technically rejected me since my CB in august tho. havent heard back since mid-november when I told them I had an expiring offer elsewhere and was told they were in a holding pattern or some shit.
