How quickly should we start scheduling callbacks, or how long can we wait? I know that we shouldn't take anything for granted until we have an offer, but there are definitely some firms that I'm more intereste in, and I have 13 callback invitations so far and don't want to go in that many if I can avoid it. Id also love to give my classmates with fewer callbacks a chance to interview there if I can help open up a spot for them. Should I still schedule and cancel later, or wait to see if I hear back from one of my preferred firms, which I've scheduled early on?

The general rule is to play it conservative until you have an offer in hand. Then wear whatever is appropriate. I think that applies a bit more with Cravath events since from what I hear the office is generally pretty conservative.

Would you rather stand out for what you're wearing or have people just remember your conversation than your suit?
It's a cocktail reception, so you can safely go black suit/striped tie instead of standard interview dark grey/navy. Still conservative though.

Has anyone received a callback call from Wilkie but no email yet giving you instructions to schedule the interview?

>Invited to callback interview
>Call provided number to schedule callback
>No answer; leave voicemail with available dates

How long should I wait before trying the number again? I want to schedule this callback ASAP.

I scheduled the eight I cared most about for this week and next and I'm leaving the rest unscheduled for now; I simply declined one since I wouldn't take it over an outstanding offer. I figure if these first few start off horribly I'll stick in the remainder for Aug 25th onward. If I get an offer from one of these early ones I'll notify the unscheduled that I'm no longer interested. I agree that 10+ is unwieldy and I wouldn't want to schedule more than what I've already put on my plate. Then again, I recognize this is a rather obnoxious position to be in relative to the reverse.

How soon on average will we get offers/rejections? I'm thinking within a week or two from the callback interview?
