I'm in the last office to have offers go out as well... At least our final reviews are today!

The firm I'm at waited until after all the other offices of our firm gave offers because they were waiting for a consensus from the major shareholders to give the no-offers. Plus, I think they didn't want no-offered summers roaming our halls.

Offer! As an immigrant and high school dropout, I never thought I'd be in a place to graduate from a T14 and get hired at any job willing to pay me $160K to start. I know it just means I have a grind to look forward to, but it's still a fucking dream come true.

Had a good exit review yesterday but no offers for 1-2 weeks. My brain might explode.

Is your firm 100% or anywhere in that vacinity?

A firm isn't going to give you a good exit review and then ding your ass. You are fine unless the firm is in real financial trouble or something. So you might get Bingham'd, but those are low odds.

I'm assuing that the reported offers and acceptances are all verbal. When does the written offer go out? and how long before we are obligated to decide?

Mine (both) were written. Anon because will out myself if mine is the only firm that gives in-person offers in writing (though I'm 95% sure it isn't the only such firm).

Nah there's plenty of firms that have written offers. I know of a person who posted their written offer (signed) to Facebook.

Hiring partner handed me the letter during the exit interview.

We have until October 1 to respond.

We won't hear back for approximately 3 weeks. This will be the longest three weeks of my life.

Why they can't get this together before then is beyond me.

How big is your SA class? It could be anything from scheduling to waiting on at least half of the third quarter's financials. If you didn't do anything weird then you're likelier to be good than not good.

SA at a V5 NY firm. Huge class with historical 100% offer rates. Most people have heard but I still haven't (slightly unique because I split with a foreign office).

FREAKING OUT.

that's how it goes, unfortunately. though, there's a much stronger presumption of your offer given that the firm already took a chance on you by giving you the foreign office, so I wouldn't be too worried

My mom texted a pic of the letter to me. I guess it's to abide by NALP guidelines (i think the 28 day SOL doesn't start running till there's a dated later)? Honestly, the letter is good, if for nothing else, to substantiate that you didn't go "A Beautiful Mind" in thinking you heard the hiring people say "congrats you got an offer" at the exit interview.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
