All of my offer voicemails requested a callback to confirm that I received it. So even if yours didn't, I would call.

I'm also interested in cross-border disputes, so I would ask the interviewer what jurisdiction/country was most interesting in whatever case he was involved in, wt challenged his basic ideas of law etc.. Some would state cultural differences, some would state jurisdictional differences. Either way, the replies were long.
For corporate, especially M&A, I would mention about the fact that I've heard the schedule is pretty unpredictable, so I would ask him to go through one of the more exciting days, and one of the more boring days.
Not quite sure whether these questions were actually great, but seemed to work as fallback questions.
I used this today and it worked like a charm. Thanks!

Am wondering the same

Is it possible that firms are waiting for most Columbia students to do their interviews before giving out offers?

I don't think their criteria changed.

when cancelling CBs, is over email okay? Or does it have to be by phone?

A note on Milbank: Apparently they are definitely not taking people outside of EIP. I know myself and a number of other people have tried applying to them outside of EIP, and they have been curt, if not downright rude regarding our applications. If you didn't interview with them at EIP, I suggest avoid them if you do not want your self-esteem wounded.

Re: Columbia EIP 2015
Better by phone. I emailed two days in advance to cancel and called a few hours before my scheduled interview time just to make sure, unfortunately recruiting said she did not get my email (or did not bother to read?). So calling is the better way to go, for both of you.Anonymous User wrote:when cancelling CBs, is over email okay? Or does it have to be by phone?

Re: Columbia EIP 2015
dpw summer here
Thought this info might be useful, if its not then sorry: about 45 2L candidates have received offers so far (congrats if that's you!), which is already nearly as many as they gave out in total last year. They did say they might have a slightly larger summer class, but not by that many, so I anticipate they won't be giving out many more offers at this point.

Re: Columbia EIP 2015
Hey guys,
I am not a Columbia student so I apologize for any thread hijacking and understand if nobody wants to help but my school doesn't have an OCI thread so I figured y'all would be a good group to ask. Has anyone done a Latham (NY) callback? How does it typically go? Is it more conversational or more formal?
Thanks for any help/information.

Latham NY was conversational more than anything. They put you in a room and the attorneys come visit you. Five interviews, 20 minutes each.

Re: Columbia EIP 2015
This implies that you received a callback without OCI. Is this for real? If so, I need to know more about what you've been doing to apply.Anonymous User wrote:Hey guys,

Re: Columbia EIP 2015
I think he or she just said his or her school doesn't have a thread on TLS for OCI so he or she is checking ours for input, not that he or she didn't go through OCI to receive the Latham callback.Anonymous User wrote:This implies that you received a callback without OCI.
