I know people who have already done their Simpson CBs, though I don't believe they've heard back yet on offers.Anonymous User wrote:Wait so has anyone actually heard from Simpson NY? Dings? Scheduled CBs? Offers? Flying blind here

When did your friend do the callback?Anonymous User wrote:Paul Weiss NY was doing callbacks for CLS students last week and this week. And I can confirm that at least one friend of mine has an offer in hand.

Re: Columbia EIP 2015
All NYC, 3 last week (one each day) and one each day so far this week... looks like I am at a minimum 0/3. I thought 2 of the 3 went really well too.Depends on the market. In new york, I never received an offer more than 2 business days out. In CA it was up to three weeks.Have done 5 callbacks now, but no offers yet... How long is typical before I can give up hope?

Is it going to hurt my chances to have CBs at firms like Cravath next week? I'm regretting scheduling them so late and wondering if I should try to move them up...

That's the norm, but I know of at least one person this summer who got an offer about 6 business days after CB at a V10Depends on the market. In new york, I never received an offer more than 2 business days out. In CA it was up to three weeks.

Re: Columbia EIP 2015
It would make sense to me that no offers really go out until after the callback firm receptions otherwise wouldn't there be an akward situation in which there were individuals there with offers mingling with some who do not have offers? Is this off-base?

Re: Columbia EIP 2015
There are little to no "norms" with CB ---> Offer timelines, even in NY.
I got one offer 4 hours after my callback, then got one 5 days later. I've heard that a lot of firms have a same-day policy where you can only get an offer within 24 hours if all of your interviewers give you the maximum score (usually a 5 on a 1-5 scale). In those situations, the firm is confident in offering you because you're "can't miss."
Anything less than that, and you get thrown in a ranking and the firm spends more time interviewing other candidates in successive days, looking at you holistically, etc. and you end up with an offer or maybe not.

Do foreign offices take a longer time to give out offers?

Stop asking if there have been offers for NY offices. The answer is yes. For nearly every single firm, the answer is going to be yes.
