At H, just got an email from recruiter (after sending in grades). They're having a spring break thing at the Dallas location...which makes me think maybe they won't make hiring decisions until after?

Weil interviews started two weeks ago (I was contacted the week before that). I doubt they'll wait until after spring break to make decisions, my guess is some people will hear by the end of this week.

Texas, top ~15%, non-URM (read: white male), Houston ties, Ivy undergrad

Baker Botts - interview (on campus)
Vinson & Elkins - interview (on campus)
Norton Rose Fulbright - interview (at firm)
Sidley Austin - interview (on campus)
Bracewell & Giuliani - interview (at firm)
Andrews Kurth - vague request for an interview in March (turned down)
Akin Gump - phone interview request (turned down)
Mayer Brown - "not able to offer you a position"
Jones Day - silence
Paul Hastings - silence
Haynes Boone - silence

Ended up accepting an offer from one of the Big Three.

I know that BB, V&E, NRF, Sidley, and Jones Day have all extended offers, and have filled/are close to filling their 1L summer spots.

All pay above market. There's a ton of other lit boutiques in both Dallas and Houston. Play around chambers if you want to find more. But I get the impression they all care about ties ( and grades).
