What's gonna happen with employers who were "late"? Did we just end up wasting our precious, precious PEP slots?

3L here. You would be better off if there was just an administrative staffer to coordinate the logistics of official OCI and people didn't look to OCS for advice at all.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2023 4:19 pmI think I would prefer to be on my own than to have them actively impeding opportunity.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2023 3:58 pmPenn’s OCS is utterly incompetent. Covington CB out - references called by screener attorney earlier this week - think the timing here might be interviewer-specific

Re: Penn Law PEP
Class of '23 grad here, just checking into say that I feel for you all.
CP&P (or whatever the hell they're calling themselves now) have always been terrible, and this PEP thing is hot garbage. To be forced through this stuff, especially in a shit market... I'm sorry.
My advice, for what it's worth (not much): start direct applying yesterday. Don't wait until OCI. Firms' classes will be full. I know of at least one highly-desired firm that showed up to OCI last year with a grand total of zero spots available—and that was before the PEP program. With reduced class sizes + PEP, I'd expect other firms to do the same.

Anyone with offers they're happy with thinking about leaving one open and doing OCI just for the interview experience?

what's the point unless the offer you have isn't a top choiceAnonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2023 8:42 amAnyone with offers they're happy with thinking about leaving one open and doing OCI just for the interview experience?
