If you haven't gotten a callback yet 99 percent chance you aren't getting one. These firms move fast and they're already on to other school's OCI week.Anonymous User wrote:General question: when should one surrender all hope that a firm will call back with good news? Is it one week? Two?

If a firm hasn't responded yet, you're dinged. If you look at other school's OCI threads on this forums, firms that came to our OCI are already giving callbacks at OCIs happening this week.Anonymous User wrote:Any good or bad news from Schulte? Seems like radio silence so far

Even if that is true, there is no need to be rude about it. If you are sure the OCI process is done, then don't continue to check this forum.Anonymous User wrote:If a firm hasn't responded yet, you're dinged. This is a stressful time and the poster was just asking for more information about the firms. Some firms have not given answers, one way or the other. Some firms are notoriously known for being slow. It can also depend on how long the individual interviewer took to give their notes to the hiring committee. Some firms wait until OCI is done at ALL NYC schools. Some people may be on the "B" list, which is fine, but may mean that they get a callback or a rejection LATER than others. Yes, a week of silence LIKELY means a ding, but I'm sure the poster knew that!
I personally have found this forum very helpful and appreciate everyone who has said they've heard back from firms. If anyone else gets good or bad news, I'd still love to hear!

There's also at least one firm that I'm aware of where one interviewer has explicitly rejected some candidates, invited some to callbacks, and has not responded at all to others. I would be very surprised if they were...selectively ghosting people?Anonymous User wrote:Even if that is true, there is no need to be rude about it. I've been told that means you're on the waitlist/backup, in case the people they invite back to callbacks accept offers elsewhere and cancelAnonymous User wrote:There's also at least one firm that I'm aware of where one interviewer has explicitly rejected some candidates, invited some to callbacks, and has not responded at all to others. Wait how was I rude? I was informing the poster that the chance for hearing more callbacks is practically over. Maybe! Tone is hard to read online. Regardless, I know you disagree with this, but I do think there is a slight chance callbacks may still trickle in and I would like to keep hearing updates (good + bad) from everyone.Anonymous User wrote:Wait how was I rude? Re: Fordham Law OCI 2019
Hm did you hear about this for Pillsbury with regards to JW (interviewer)? I have yet to hear from the him even though someone previously mentioned getting a CB from him, but also have not received my ding email yet. If anything, this selective ghosting limbo feels worse than getting straight up dinged.Anonymous User wrote:PillsburyAnonymous User wrote:Wait which firm is that though?Anonymous User wrote:I've been told that means you're on the waitlist/backup, in case the people they invite back to callbacks accept offers elsewhere and cancelAnonymous User wrote:There's also at least one firm that I'm aware of where one interviewer has explicitly rejected some candidates, invited some to callbacks, and has not responded at all to others.
