Wow, I'm so glad it's not just me who hasn't heard from everywhere. At what point do people think silence = rejection for Loyola? I was going to give it until tomorrow night because I don't want to hold out too much hope.

Yeah I interviewed with 12 and have only heard from 6 so far (4 of the 6 were before I even left Chicago on Friday). 5 CBs and 1 ding, mostly NY. I'm thinking good news comes fast and bad news comes slow, but I'm going to give myself until the end of the week before I give up on the others.

Trying to get these callbacks knocked out while class sizes are still open and they arent trying to make decisions at the margin. Interesting I got one each so far in NYC, Bos, and Chi, and all my interviews were pretty evenly split between the 3 (total of 14)

I did two dozen screeners, received word from 9 so far (half good, half bad). I'll probably, and foolishly, continue to hold out hope until the end of the week.

My thoughts on PLIP:

• If I could do it all over again, I'd have done half of what I did. I honestly just did not have the stamina.
• I would have reached out to an alum at each firm I interviewed with the week before, and brought those conversations up in my screeners in order to demonstrate interest in the firm. Interviewers are looking for someone who they like AND someone who can show genuine interest in the firm.
• Maybe it was just me being drained of energy, but I felt like all my interviews in the morning went a lot better than those later in the day. There were some interviews late in the afternoon where it seemed as though the interviewer had already chosen who he/she was going to callback, and my being there stood in the way of them being able to go home to their family. 4/5s of the CBs I've gotten happened as a result of screeners that were before lunch. The last CB I got was from an after-lunch screener where I was able to namedrop.

EDIT: For those of you reading this in the future, I was top ~15% at a T20, LR, relevant experience in the field. Failed to convert a majority of my CBs (including the two firms I really wanted) into offers because I'm a terrible interviewer [do mock interviews - even if you think you're a great interviewer; if I would have done one or two, I would have been in a much better space mentally]. Accepted an offer at a great shop in my preferred market.

Good news has come via phone call, followed by an e-mail. Bad news has come through e-mail. Still waiting to hear from half the places I talked to... I'm assuming snail mail dings are incoming based on last years thread.

Is Loyola normally this slow? Or is it because so many schools have OCI this week that they might be waiting to do them all at once?
