Hope this isn't the end of it and they will be rolling in through the 28th.

Just a guess, this is probably the end of it.(And FWIW, I have zero interviews) Seems weird that they would update a bunch at the end of this week but not all.Anonymous User wrote:Hope this isn't the end of it and they will be rolling in through the 28th.

I wouldn't take anything as official until the emails are sent out.

Yeah, this is the first year they've used this system, so I wouldn't assume anything yet.

It's definitely rolling.

Re: DOJ Honors 2016-2017 Cycle
Had a code a couple days ago, then got a code from a different division today, so they're definitely coming in over time. Does anyone what your chances are once you get an interview (not that I'm assuming that code = interview)?

Re: DOJ Honors 2016-2017 Cycle
I am from southern california and have never been to DC (or anywhere far from CA really) and have NO IDEA how transit works in other areas. Assuming I have to interview in DC, will they provide specific instructions on how to get to the interview site? I'm more stressed about the logistics (like getting lost) than the actual interview...

Yes, they provide pretty specific directions, and Google is actually super helpful for this.Anonymous User wrote:I am from southern california and have never been to DC (or anywhere far from CA really) and have NO IDEA how transit works in other areas. This is important to remember since it's a new system. What would be great is if someone could confirm that they looked and didn't see a code after someone reported it but then saw it appear later.Anonymous User wrote:I wouldn't take anything as official until the emails are sent out.

I didn't get my code until several hours after someone else said it had been posted. Hopefully that means there will be more on Monday.Anonymous User wrote:This is important to remember since it's a new system. Same. I didn't see a code when people were first posting, but saw one later that day. I then received a second code on Friday.Anonymous User wrote:I didn't get my code until several hours after someone else said it had been posted. The question is essentially moot at this point, but did repeat applicants use any of the same essays as before?

I did not because I lost my last application. If I hadn't, I would have reused some, while making a few changes.Anonymous User wrote:The question is essentially moot at this point, but did repeat applicants use any of the same essays as before?

So it sounds like No One has seen an interview code come up after someone else has reported, i.e., no evidence this is rolling.

Re: DOJ Honors 2016-2017 Cycle
I think he means, like, one person sees ATR and then two days later someone else sees it (meaning the same component was rolling).
Will re-up my question: is DOJ one of those places that interviews many more than there are slots? Or do you have a really good chance once you secure the interview?

Yeah, I wondered if that was the deal - but those posts don't say that's not what happened, either.Anonymous User wrote:I think he means, like, one person sees ATR and then two days later someone else sees it (meaning the same component was rolling).

I'm not sure how many interviews per slot there are - since they pay travel expenses it's not a ridiculous over-selection. I think I have heard 4 people for each slot, but it can depend on how many slots there are - pretty sure EOIR doesn't do 4 for each IJ clerkship, for instance.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
