Main list updated. Also, FYI it seems that Simpson Thatcher will also be at EIW for their NY office.

It appears then that the only firms remaining from all of the off-campus consortiums are Dykema Gossett and Jenner & Block.

I got 2 alternates - Venable and Goodwin. What are the chances of actually scoring an interview as an alternate?
The thing is, I've already booked a hotel room for July 31st-August 1st (hadn't realized that August 2nd stuff hadn't been released yet)...should I extend my stay for this? I also already bought my train ticket back home on August 1st lol.
I have 7 pre-selects for August 1st. (White&Case, Sidley, Milbank, Willkie, Freshfields, Cleary, Bracewell, Akin Gump).

I'm an associate at one of the interviewing firms. As a good tip, if you're going to be in town for these interviews and have an extra day before or after, do not hesitate to mass mail other firms or even firms you didn't get interviews with to tell them you're in town anyways (free for them) and that you'd love to interview or meet with them.

Do you recommend emailing the firms we ARE interviewing with to let them know we are there after? Would that affect the chances of a callback or just come off as neurotic?
Do firms care about saving a few hundred bucks on callback expenses?

It looks like the st. louis diversity fair is slowing releasing the preselects.

That is part of being a lawyer. You may have to represent interests you find morally repugnant. Out of curiosity how does one legally donate $3.2M to a career academic/
government lawyer/circuit court judge?

Probably not. But they wouldn't fly you out for a screener, so being there already cuts down on a lot of the planning. You also don't want to rush the firms you're interviewing with because they might take it to think you're unavailable otherwise once you leave town. Saying you're staying with a friend or family is a help too for residency/city purposes if it's a city that cares about that.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
