For the record, I think Freshfields only has an NYC and a DC office in the US, so it would be more accurate to say that Freshfields has just straight-up matched.

I disagree with the above. According to the memo that was circulated, the entity matching was FBD's US LLP; their U.S.-qualified London-based associates do not work for that entity, but are likely interested in this as well. Other firms have mentioned that their London-based associates, who are remunerated in sterling, are seeing concomitant increases in pay. To my understanding, Freshfields did not increase compensation for U.S.-qualified London associates, although this may happen at a later time.

Can we get a notation about which cities are 180k for each firm? Or are all the firms NYC/DC/Chi/LA? Apparently there are some Houston 180ks?

Winston matched before K&E. I think this should be noted in your list, as it reads chronologically.

Touche. You have clearly put more thought into this than I have.Anonymous User wrote:I disagree with the above. Covington should be on the TTT list. Only a very small fraction of their attorneys are in NY, and, we don't even know for sure that they're raising in NY.

Re: Cravath's Spawn - the Wave of Copycats - RUNNING TALLY
I agree with the above. Covington is a sophisticated antitrust practice, and they know they can't have an explicit agreement with other firms to reduce competition in the market. So instead they wrote an incendiary letter to their associates, knowing that it would eventually be leaked and circulated to their competitors.
The entire gambit was predicated on outraged associates signaling the Covington partnership's disinclination to raise salaries to rival firms. Clearly it was cooked up by their partners in an effort to reduce competition in the legal market and still abide by the law. But what I find so galling about it is that they had to slap their associates in the face in order to convey the message. Why would anyone with options want to work at a place like that?

Looks like Fox Rothschild won't be matching

Oh how embarrassing they posted this before realizing that Cooley and Winston both matched.Anonymous User wrote:Looks like Fox Rothschild won't be matching

Houston at $180k is like NYC at $210k.

Covington still needs to be shifted to the TTT list.
