Did these acceptances happen very recently? I recently got an email from Cole essentially telling me I'm on hold.Anonymous User wrote:I also know a classmate who accepted with Cole.Anonymous User wrote:One classmate accepted with Connell Foley, one with Drinker, and another with Cole.

Re: NJ Firms: 2013 Edition
Seems likely. As noted on the last page, the firm had its first hiring committee meeting on Wednesday, so these offers must have been given out since then. The "on hold" status is probably to see whether the first group of offerees accept to prevent a Kasowitz situation.Anonymous User wrote:Did these acceptances happen very recently? With such a small class, I don't think anyone is going to give any details. God forbid anyone learns that we post on this siteAnonymous User wrote:One spot left then unless...any chance you guys are thinking of the same person?Anonymous User wrote:I also know a classmate who accepted with Cole.Anonymous User wrote:One classmate accepted with Connell Foley, one with Drinker, and another with Cole.

Anybody have insight regarding the working conditions of NJ's "big" firms? Specifically the ones listed on the first page. I figure it's a lot of hard work...just curious how it stacks up against our neighbors in NYC.

Re: NJ Firms: 2013 Edition
It varies. Lowenstein is gonna be very similar to NY Biglaw as far as hours are concerned. Not as bad but close enough to suck at times. I know Bressler has or at least used to have a 2000 billable requirement, which I thought was insane given the pay disparity between them and NYC firms that have the same hours target. Day Pitney, is probably the best of both worlds. Decent pay for NJ, but rarely anyone in the office after 6:30pm. In NJ you will see the whole gambit. But ITE, beggars can't be choosers.Anonymous User wrote:Anybody have insight regarding the working conditions of NJ's "big" firms? Specifically the ones listed on the first page. Has anyone heard anything from K&L Gates? I know they haven't had summer programs in the last few years so it is hard to tell when they should be making moves.

Oh, yea. I meant the Newark office. I should have been more specific.Anonymous User wrote:I have a friend who got an offer in the their DC office a month ago. Doesn't seem to be much movement lately on the NJ front... I heard the firms were slow, but I had no idea the waiting game would stretch into November..

Re: NJ Firms: 2013 Edition
I finally got a response back from Porzio telling me they weren't having a program this year, but that's it. I think Bressler has extended offers, but I'm not positive.Anonymous User wrote:Doesn't seem to be much movement lately on the NJ front...
