My school won't reimburse me.
At least I can crash with a GULC transfer friend.

this is just for summer 2014, though they do offer a 2L postgrad fellowship, so fingers crossed that said internship is a foot in the door for postgrad!Anonymous User wrote:Details! anyone else feel like EJW was a COMPLETE waste of time for 3Ls? unless you have PD-cred (i.e. no experience with prosecutor or USAO offices), there were no litigation jobs out there.

Does anyone know if Public Defender Service in DC is paying the law clerks this year? How does that work? Also, do they let you select a division? I know that in the past they have is that still the case?

I have it on very good authority that they are not paying this summer. I believe they did pay last summer.Anonymous User wrote:i doubt they pay, they couldnt even continue their hiring process for full time staff attorneys this year..i know they paid summer of 2012 i believe, does anyone know if they paid this past summer?postypost wrote:Does anyone know if Public Defender Service in DC is paying the law clerks this year? My understanding is that individual divisions ultimately do the interviewing and hiring. You aren't just hired into PDS generally and then later pick a division. Instead, you are hired into a specific division.

Thanks for the information. They couldn't continue their hiring process for full time staff attorneys this year? Does that mean no new hires? Thats too bad. I know its an individual decisions, but any thoughts on the best division to work for within DPS?
