Did you get an email similar to the one yesterday from the system, or did an individual at the USAO contact you?

Would you be willing to share which USAO and/or a bit about your stats/background/experience?Anonymous User wrote:Got notification that I have an interview with one of the USAOs. Am kind of shocked, honestly, given that I have no prosecution experience. (Though I have other experience which is kind of relevant for the district in question.)

E-mail just like the one yesterday from the system - from "mail", similar subject line ("Notice of Selection for Interview by the US Attorney for the District of [etc]"), same goofy little lightning-storm header (what IS that?), same font (why italics and bold? why?) (however I am VERY HAPPY to see the lightning storm and goofy font).Anonymous User wrote:Did you get an email similar to the one yesterday from the system, or did an individual at the USAO contact you?

I was selected for an interview yesterday (#1 Nat'l Security, #2 Crim, #3 Civil)
Today I received an email stating that veterans preference applicants (I'm one) were referred to ALL components, regardless of whether we selected them.

Fuhhhh. I didn't apply to the HP this year because I was planning on clerking and applying during my clerkship. I had no idea that you could do SLIP in your pre-clerkship summer.Anonymous User wrote:Received an interview, landed clerkship, switched to SLIP yesterday. Hopefully an email about what component(s) selected me comes soon!Anonymous User wrote:I was selected for an interview yesterday (#1 Nat'l Security, #2 Crim, #3 Civil)

I got the interview notice email yesterday and my status was changed to selected for interview (USTP was the only component I ranked), but I haven't received the individual email yet.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone heard from the US Trustees Program?

Any EIOR component e-mails? If so, do they specify geographic location this early on? I was selected for an interview yesterday, waiting on component email. HYSCCN, immigration experience, no LR, mediocre grades.
In response to an earlier theory, I submitted Sept. 4

Get one? (You can have things faxed to a Kinko's [FedEx? whatever they call themselves now] for you - call them, get the fax number, give that out, go pick up documents later.)Anonymous User wrote:I'm a little bit confused about the travel plan. My question is - dumb and arrogant as it sounds - does anyone know if people commonly get interviews with more than one component? It's clearly possible, but I don't know if it's one of those things that never actually happens in reality. I'm just trying to figure out how long I should wait to see if I get another e-mail, before sending in the travel form (since we're only supposed to send it in once, and not everyone interviews in DC...).

I've heard of that for SLIP but not the Honors Program. WHy would the # of interviews you have make a difference in the travel form?Anonymous User wrote:Get one? I got my second choice (antitrust). Wonder if e-mails are still going out for my first choice.

I had my law school career services office fax it for me. I put down their fax number and then they notify me when they get something from DOJ.
