I'm going to mail all EIP firms that I have an interest in but didn't get an interview with. Should go out in the next day or two.
Right, I've been mass mailing and having success with EIP firms, but I was wondering whether to tell OCS when they ask in case they get pissy. Some schools have a hard "no contact" policy or ban you from Symplicity etc (like when you miss too many of those firm receptions without formally cancelling).

I really wish they would have warned us about the impact of cancelling...

Ha, as long as you don't tell a firm you want to practice X when they do no X, you will probably be fine.

Good luck everyone! I'm a CLS alum and I'll be back at EIP this year (on the other side of the coffee table) doing screeners for my firm. I'm sure being back at the Doubletree will bring back loads of good memories. Or something.

So I can't remember from last year...is there a check-in process when you enter the hotel downstairs? Do you just show your CLS ID?

Also, CBs will start coming tonight (I got my first this night last year) but don't worry if you haven't gotten any when others start to get them bc they do trickle in. I got two on Saturday last year, which I was not expecting. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

ETA: one more piece of advice: schedule your CBs as soon as you get the call and make it as soon as possible although I would recommend not scheduling two on one day unless absolutely necessary. I went on a CB the day after EIP ended and one the day after that, and both turned into offers. You want to get in before they have made offers ideally.

Are you guys printing your resumes on bond paper? My friend at NYU told me they were instructed to do so. This did not occur to me, and I have been using plain paper.

Also spot callback with Greenberg, interviewer MS.

Can you share the Simpson Thacher interviewer initials? Was it NM?

I don't mean to be a dick, but callback info without posting interviewer initials or other identifiers really doesn't help - just stresses people out because not all interviewers for each firm make calls at the same time...

3L here. I just wanted to weigh in because I remember how stressful this was last year. Don't get too consumed with the posts here on TLS. Remember, there are three days of interviews left, don't get your nerves out of whack on the first day. CBs will come and offers will follow. Be confident and articulate. Good Luck!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
