So judging from Dave's email, K&E shit the bed when they received a stack of 160 resumes?

Well, my guess is career services screwed something up. This is a bit irritating, even though I probably wasn't going to end up in Chicago, I purposely bid K&E where I did based on the interview slots and I'm sure others did as well. I either would not have bid them and tried to get into another form or I would have bid them earlier. Idiots.

This was my thought, but I wasn't sure exactly what the protocol was. I gotta believe it takes most firms at least a day to figure shit out. I may just be speaking out of my ass here.

Some firms you will hear back from same day, others take a day or two, smaller markets can take a week or so. Usually same day offers are NYC firms that invite you to a reception/dinner that evening.

Related note: set up a professional voice mail and don't answer your phone in or around the OCI area--it is really tacky.

IIRC last year Weil did one and at least one more NYC firm did it but I can't remember which one (not V10, I think).

Pretty sure that Chicago takes at least a few days. I think the earliest I heard about expecting CB offers was Friday (from any firm in any market, not just Chicago).
