Think you've got a shot with all except Barack. If you're not bidding these offices at OCI or if they're not coming to your OCI, I don't see why you shouldn't give it a chance.Anonymous User wrote:Top 20% MVP+good (or maybe just okay) WE.Anonymous User wrote:Well, what are your stats?Anonymous User wrote:I have 4 interviews (Barack Ferrazzano, Bryan Cave, Kirkland, Skadden). My question is: should I even go to this fair? I have NO ties to Chicago besides having been to the city several times and would like to live there, so I'm wondering what kind of chance I really have in terms of getting a CB/offer. My other concern is that I applied to Skadden's NY office and Bryan Cave's Atlanta office. Does anyone know if these firms do their recruiting separately for difference offices?

Well, they're very selective and only have about 3 SAs a year.

Re: ccba minority fair
EDIT: Dropped all of them. Hopefully they'll reschedule. Anyone had to do this or know of others?
Quick question:
Got some preselects here but due to transfer orientation won't be able to attend (have been told in no uncertain terms that I have to go to orientation.) My school's offered to help reschedule the interviews, but should I go ahead and drop them before I've spoken to any firm about my situation?

Your understanding is correct. I did 8 screeners at CCBA last year. The big advantage for me was not having to bid those firms at OCI.Anonymous User wrote:My understanding is that bidding on the firms in OCI is a waste. Kirkland, Mayer, Jenner, etc. Undergrad and Law school both located in Illinois.

Firm I interviewed with said they had no openings and just like to interview a lot of people to see if they find someone exceptional. Agency said they will be in touch with a decision, if and when the position is funded.Anonymous User wrote:Time for all you fabulous posters to place if you get a callback from any firm.

got CBs from 2 out of 6 firms interviewed with so far. so even though there was a lack of coffee at the fair, at least it paid off.
