I haven't heard any news, but I don't go to a philly market school, so I'm the only person I know who had a CB at pepper.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone heard of Pepper making offers today? Phones silent, getting sad.

It was easy. The guy wasn't a huge fan of my writing sample selection, but other than that it went okay. Everyone I talked to said they were tough on your writing sample. The hypo session was easy, they just want to see how you think.Anonymous User wrote:Interested as well. Also: nobody heard of any Pepper offers right? That gives me hope.

If anyone gets any news out of Pepper, feel free to PM me so I can start freaking out about calling every small firm in Philadelphia.

To all you non-Philly schools, I wonder how the big firms view your school/rank in comparison to someone at the top of their class at N/T/R-C (non-LR, secondary though). I guess we'll find out shortly.

I mean you can already tell if you go by and look through the thread. Are you thinking that they will callback the non philly kids but not offer them? I'm pretty sure if you have philly ties and they called you back, your grades are sufficient for an offer.

This paints a nice picture of what schools philly firms hire from.
Blank Rome: 1 each from Penn, Temple, Cornell, Georgetown, Pitt and UVA
Cozen: 2 from Temple, 1 from Villanova, 1 from American, 1 from George Washington, 1 from Harvard and Seton Hall, and 3 from UVA
Drinker: 6 from Penn, 1 Drexel, 1 Rutgers, 1 temple, 2 Villanova, 1 Virginia
Duane Morris: 3 Penn, 1 NYU, 1 Nova
Fox Rothschild: 1 each from Berkeley, Georgetown and Harvard
I don't feel like doing anymore. But these are for all PA offices although these are all philly firms with very little to no presence anywhere in the state. Also these are numbers of attorneys starting in 2011 and not summer associates.

I know this isn't Philly, but has anyone received any offers from Wilmington firms? Am I correct in thinking that DE firms don't give offers until mid to late October?

whywhywhy: Did dechert set you up with an alum from your school? I heard that a lot of people who got linked w/ alums got offers. Maybe the firm just favors east coast schoolswhywhywhy wrote:UCLA/Texas/Vandy; 3.7, law review, great ties; fantasticallyAnonymous User wrote:Oh no! I'm sorry.
