Re: Anyone Heard From NJ Firms?
Well, Lowenstein was cool enough to give me a one week extension on my offer that was supposed to expire a week ago. But unfortunately, I'm still in the middle of the callback process and not yet ready to commit. I'm still waiting on the results of 4 CB's, and I have 4 other big ones coming up. In addition, I have 2 other offers on the table from NYC-based firms. So I think I have to turn it down tomorrow, as much as I think I would have liked it there.

How long ago did you have your CB?
Anonymous User wrote:Top 15% at T30 on secondary journal. Some work experience. Strong NJ ties through personal history and legal work experience (internships).
+1
Any other offers out there for Riker? McElroy?
i'm new to the tls forum and not sure what the +1 means. do you also have an offer? or are you also asking when the person had their callback?
The +1 was meant to indicate that the poster was also interested in your answer to the question regarding how long ago you had your callback.

Lowenstein, MDM&C, Cole Schotz and Bressler.
Already had Sills back in August (silence) and was rejected from Porzio. Have a Day Pitney phone screener lined up for next week.
T10, very strong NJ ties.

I'm the anonymous poster with the Riker offer. My CB was earlier this week. At my CB the firm told me they had not made any other offers yet and the hiring committee would send out the first offers this week. To the poster asking if I'll accept, that is overwhelmingly likely.

Has everyone heard from Porzio? I haven't heard yet and am going to accept somewhere else . . . dont want to ask them to withdraw my app if I have already been dinged and just missed the letter some how.

Followed up with Sills after silence since my August interview. Still "under consideration" for a SA there and good feedback about my interview.

Re: Anyone Heard From NJ Firms?
anyone have any idea what I should do with Cole and Bressler? Had interviews with them many weeks ago, left messages and emails but no response. What should I take this as? Am I on hold or have I been rejected? Thoughts? I don't know what to do.

Re: Anyone Heard From NJ Firms?
Cole and Bressler aren't close to being done. I'm interviewing with both this coming week. Remember these firms take small class sizes, yet CB a decent number of people and probably want to see a decent portion before making offers. I think if you just follow up every 2-3 weeks it should be okay. Riker apparently just made offers this week and I'd bet the other NJ firms are only a similar timeline. (Except Lowenstein... but Lowenstein's competition for students is pretty much the NYC firms).Anonymous User wrote:anyone have any idea what I should do with Cole and Bressler? Cole told me their hiring committee wasn't meeting until October 12th. I know NJ is slower but that just seems crazy.Anonymous User wrote:anyone have any idea what I should do with Cole and Bressler?
