WH is a much, much stronger Boston firm than Skadden in pretty much every area. If you really loved it there, and want to do M&A (WH is still stronger in this, but Skadden Boston isn't bad), it wouldn't be insane to take Skadden. Don't get me wrong, Skadden is a good Boston firm, but its probably 5 or 6 on the pecking order, while WH is one of the absolute best. I've also heard not so great things from associates at SK.

I know that they're gauging interest before giving offers. Hiring committee just started to meet recently.

Well, of course spots could open up as people turn down offers, but they just had their sell-dinner(s) this week. Basically as many attendees as there were SA positions. So the next round of offers could be slow until people hit their acceptance deadlines. Good luck, though!

Different anon also at the Ropes dinner. They had a reception beforehand where you could get a sense of how many people were there. Know the size of their target class this year from having asked during my CB.

Or you can just look at previous posts to see the turnaround time. Usually depends on how much they like you. The "two weeks" quoted above, seems long. Mine was 5 days CB to offer (incl. the weekend, so more like 3 business days).

Depends on when you have callback and how many offers they already have out. At this point in time, 2 weeks - 6 weeks, given the 28 day offer expiration for earlier OCI and callbacks.

R&G. But that was a few weeks back. As above-poster's reasoning makes sense, this speed may not be a reasonable expectation at this point in the hiring season.
