Re: Yale FIP
Anybody heard from Fenwick or Allen & Overy? Those are the only two firms on my list that haven't been listed here as either calling back or rejecting people.
As for number of callbacks, I'm at 7 out of 17. (All 7 are already on the list). I tend not to interview very well, so I'm pleased with that number.

Re: Yale FIP
That's quite impressive. I've received 4 callbacks out of 13 interviews (though my list was admittedly top-heavy). I think I've got a stack of mail dings waiting for me at my new address lol. Overall I think transferring from NYU really hurt for the NY firms, and really helped for the more selective DC firms.Anonymous User wrote:So how did everyone do in terms of the number of CBs?
I didn't do too badly: 13 CBs and 2 confirmed dings, out of 20 FIP interviews. 3 are with V5 firms, 3 with V10, 4 with V25, 2 with V50 and 1 with V75.
I'm still waiting to hear from Wachtell and S&C but it's likely by now I've been dinged.

Has anyone heard so much as a peep from Wachtell since their interview? Just curious...

Re: Yale FIP
i havent. my interviewer said that they tend to take a little longer than other firms (no idea what "a little longer" means, however).

Anyone know if Covington DC is done making calls?
Also, any word on whether Williams & Connolly or Kirkland (Chicago) have made calls?

I haven't heard anything from Wachtell. I'm sure there's a ding letter somewhere.Anonymous User wrote:Hmm, any word (even second hand) of a Wachtell CB?

Re: Yale FIP
I've kind of heard from Cooley... I was interested in a specific practice area that they're growing, and they called me back early this week to tell me that they weren't really what I was looking for/I wasn't really what they were looking for, because the practice area wasn't big enough yet to generate summer associate work. My guess, just from talking with the interviewer over the phone, is that they're still putting together their callback list.Anonymous User wrote:Anybody heard from MoFo or Cooley?

I'm surprised that I haven't heard from 4 firms even thought others have gotten callbacks. I haven't gotten rejections despite hearing about rejections going out. I guess I'm in limbo for those.

I imagine the ding letters were lost somewhere, because I can confirm CBs/rejections for all of those firms except Wachtell.

I still haven't heard from Wachtell or S&C either.

The universal assumption seems to be that all callbacks go out at once. Do firms generally just c/b far more than they need, so it's all done in one shot? What gives?

Nice. That's interesting to hear. Maybe our letters both got lost in transit haha.Anonymous User wrote:Maybe they put you in the "hold" group?dbt wrote:Boies (NY lit), Skadden (NY), Wachtell (NY), Williams & Connolly.Anonymous User wrote:which firms? Yea I don't really understand. Maybe they're aiming for a certain number of callbacks, and they will hold off on some people to see if they get a high enough percentage of kids taking their callbacks.rynabrius wrote:The universal assumption seems to be that all callbacks go out at once. I do know that if I hear about everyone getting callbacks like a week ago and then finally get one later, I'm most likely going to turn that callback down. It's a bit of a slap in the face by the firm.

Re: Yale FIP
Dood, seriously? Slap in the face?
Do you really care if you were the last callback if it resuilts in an offer?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
