I don't really care for the cavalier attitude young Americans have towards war. I know you are just joking, but consider the thousands of people who have already died and the billions (almost a trillion by now) of dollars that have been flushed down the toilet over the last 10 years.

Nah. We will be the lost generation. Hopefully one who takes a cue from the fuckups of our parents and uses the opportunity to retrench and refocus on the things that originally made America prosperous.

But what things can make America prosperous once again?

Wait.. I felt sorry for that kid until I read that he went to Colgate and majored in PoliSci with a minor in History yet turned down a 40k Insurance job and desperately wants to work in Finance. Who on earth does he think he is??

Apparently it was an entry-level claims adjuster position with little room for advancement. He was looking for something that would put him on a management track.

But yeah...polisci major is dumb move. What to study though? Outside of finance and health fields, there isn't much else out there worthwhile. Certain technical fields like biochemistry are booming, others like electrical engineering, not so much.

Huh, maybe someone should have told him that unemployment doesn't put him on the management track either.
