Re: Pre-OCI 2021
I'm going on almost 3 weeks since my pre-OCI CB. I followed up to reiterate interest 1 week after CB and the firm told me they were doing OCI CB interviews.
I know the firm has dinged people post-CB, but since I haven't heard back for so long now, does this likely mean they're just waiting to ding me or is there still hope of an offer? I know it varies between firms but any general insight would be helpful!

Re: Pre-OCI 2021
Same boat for Weil NY. I know they've sent rejections but its been over a month since my CB. Any other firm and I'd take it as a ding and move on but this is my first choice. I really felt like I clicked with the people there so I'm still refreshing my email every 10 minutes and praying for that elusive call from a partner at the firm. (In the past few weeks, I've answered probably 100 scam calls in the most professional tone ever). IF any of you get offers or dings, keep us updated. I imagine that the longer the wait, the farther down the list I am, but I don't care. Here's to hoping!Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 12:05 pmSame boat for a couple places. Re: Pre-OCI 2021
When I had my Ropes Boston CB it was specifically for litigation. I don't know if that's helpful.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 10:20 amCurious what others would do in my situation. I have two 2L SA offers in Boston. I am leaning toward litigation, but would like to at least try transactional. The only legal experience I have is my summer internship with a judge. Here are the offers ...
1) Ropes & Gray. SAs get to try all practice groups but the majority get full time offers for corporate.
2) V30 with regional office. More likely to get a litigation offer after the summer.
My concern with choosing Ropes is that I’ll get an offer to join corporate after the summer when I want litigation. I've been told recruiting will consider my preference but I don’t expect that will matter much. I want to stay in Boston so I know the value of the prestige that comes with Ropes.
If I choose Ropes, anyone have ideas on how to position myself during the summer to get one of the few litigation offers if I find out corporate isn’t for me? Or should I go with my gut and choose the other firm?

Who wants to be a hero and ask STB DC if they're actually planning on hiring anyone this year?

I had a CB with STB NY in mid-June and still haven’t heard anything.
Accepted an offer already, but I gotta say I’m pretty pissed off at STB. Fuckin rude man.

I've been ghosted by firms I had callbacks with in early/mid July even after reaching out to get a status update. I'm honestly considering emailing partners I interviewed with to ask wtf.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sun Aug 15, 2021 6:27 pmI had a CB with STB NY in mid-June and still haven’t heard anything.
