That awesome feeling when you change your vote from "Aiming to deliver pizzas over the summer" to "accepted firm offer" :D :D :D :D

I have my first callback tomorrow, any posters ITT have any major "don'ts" to share from personal experience? Trying not to psych myself out, researching my interviewers, reading threads about OCI, etc.

Going to be hard to follow this advice, but really just relax. Try to approach it more as a conversation than as a formal interview. My first CB, I was really intent on delivering the perfect answers and a lot of them probably came across as canned. Just have a normal conversation and don't be afraid to interject with your own (related) question if you ever sense a lull. After you're done, you'll realize how casual the CBs can really be. At least, that's how my experience turned out.

If I have a 1L SA and will be applying to some scholarships and submitting resumes for firm receptions, should I put the SA with future dates or just leave it off and talk about it if it comes up in discussion?

People submit resumes at firm receptions? Why? How?

Firms requested a resume dump via school's simplicity site. Reception has dozens of firms. You'd have to ask them why though.

Haha, I've been trying.

We had some practice interviews last Monday and they said I was great, but I should speak more slowly. So I've been working on that.

When did you interview for SEC?
Early this month. I followed up for an expedited answer though, since I had another pending offer.

Anyone? Was hoping to get a non-1L perspective on this. Or am I overthinking this?

I'd put it on with future dates ("summer 2016" would be fine if you don't know the dates IMO)

Has anyone used an offer at one firm to successfully gain an offer at another? I've told a few places (Government agencies included) about a pending offer and they each sent prompt rejections. Wondering if this is common practice or I just suck at interviewing.

It just depends on how much they want you. I think if you received a rejection, it was not the early request that caused it. They would just have told you that they were not ready to make a decision yet if you were still in the running.

How do you ask if a 1L SA covers travel from/to school and office?

Why are you going from school to the office during the summer? If you mean general travel, it depends on the firm. I heard some firms will reimburse ubers/cabs if you stay past like 8pm or something, but this sounds like a NYC thing.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
