Re: Columbia EIP 2015
So if we are fortunate enough to receive an offer, what is the etiquette for:
(1) Calling back an offeror to thank her/him
(2) Canceling callbacks at firms we like less than the firm where we already have an offer
(3) Accepting an offer
(4) Rejecting an offer
Also, wanted to thank everyone on this site for helping us out. Much of the advice has been really useful, and some of you are clearly putting a lot of time into giving thoughtful tips.

(2) Just email recruiting and tell them you'd like to withdraw your application
(3) Either tell them on the phone when they call (only if you are 100% sure) or email recruiting once you've made your final decision
(4) Email recruiting that you've decided to go elsewhere and you're withdrawing your application.

Obviously it's a good worry to have... but it's not not a worry.

Re: Columbia EIP 2015
It's not a worry: you call the firm you like and tell the recruiting department "I accept the offer." Your offer won't be rescinded because of any small confusion you may have. You then contact recruiting at the firms you don't want and tell them, one by one, that you are thankful for the callback that they gave you but have already accepted an offer from a different firm.Obviously it's a good worry to have... but it's not not a worry.

Re: Columbia EIP 2015
Here we go, another day waiting for the rejections to flow in. I have eleven firms left of 21? We'll see.
Pretty even spread to hear back from from the four days. I only have one left from Thursday but three from Friday, three from Monday, and four from Tuesday to hear back from. And at this point in the week, they should all be dings, I'm guessing.
Fun times.
I missed twenty-one free-throws with the hoop four feet away and four feet off the ground. Now I have to see if I can make it in the hoop from the three-point line and ten feet in the air.

Akin ding here as well (RJ)
I know a lot of CBs have gone out for these already, but since none from my interviewers I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask:
Cleary (SF)?
Paul Weiss (BJ)?
Hogan (PVT)?

Haven't heard from CW either. Not hopeful considering how few callbacks Cahill gave out last year.Anonymous User wrote:its been a week so i'm not optimistic but any news from Cahill at all? CB or ding? especially with CW

Why do they have to wait until the end of the day to send out rejections? Just reject me now! That much easier, and it saves all of us time.

Re: Columbia EIP 2015
I guess these firms aren't going to get cute and offer callbacks over a week after the screener? It's too bad, they only get cute with rejections. Looks like it's failure from the top of the bid list to the bottom, damn.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
