Anyone heard about movement from Seattle/Portland? K&L, Perkins Coie, Dorsey, Stoel Rives or any others?

i've found some open in-house positions through diversity programs and such
i'll prob step up my mass mail game if i don't have anything lined up in a few wks
markin how late in the game do they hire? is mar/apr too late?

I finally got an offer mid-April. I don't know if that's typical, but I had two in-house interviews in March, so it is at least possible.

Such a late time line makes me nervous, what's the back up to this? I've been mass mailing in house places like crazy. Did they want your transcript?

I didn't have a backup plan, and was basically shitting my pants by the time I got my offer. I don't think they asked for a transcript, but I could be wrong.

NYC and from what I can gather, absolutely zero ties. non-URM. I'm assuming grades must be great, but he/she is studying 24/7 so it's not a baseless assumption. dunno anything else (didn't ask)

The only 1L SAs PK Seattle supposedly gives out is "URM," but all you have to do is write a diversity essay, fyi.

PC listed a diversity fellowship on our school's symplicity website, so it was super odd that he/she got a CB but yeah, he/she is not URM at all (in the strict Gutter v Bollinger sense, at least)

One of my AA classmates told me I should attend diversity events because of my unique WE. I think he may have been stretching the definition of diversity.

I'd say it won't hurt at all. If you haven't sent them an application for this summer, then you have nothing to lose until 2L summer. And by the time you apply next year, no one will remember the resume they threw away this year because they already finished hiring.

To be clear: You should definitely send them if you still don't have something nailed down.

I had interviews with firms during my 1L to whom I sent stuff in February, but they also specifically posted to Symplicity. It's definitely not going to hurt you for 2L OCI, but it might not accomplish much.

I had a grade request from s&c LA about 10 minutes after I applied though so I'm pretty sure it was automatic.

I'm assuming since the 1L job process is overall idiosyncratic, there's no trend for the timeline between CB ---> Offer?

Had two CBs friday a week ago and have one this upcoming Thursday.
Really praying for an offer from one of these three. All firms I really like.
