Curious about how you are unsure about what happened. Did you actually walk into his office or just walk past it

Why don't you just ignore it? It's obviously poor judgment, but you're all on the same team, and it doesn't impact you. This isn't like you saw someone commit malpractice so need to report it.

Last weekend as a SA. Huge pile of work dropped on me at 6pm. Told to be in the office Saturday and Sunday.

Happened with me last week (my last day was today). Put your head down and get through it, all you can do. Will it at least be over early in the week? Cop that extra eval, remember how much they're paying you to do very little, ignore your friends who are gleefully boasting about spending all day surfing espn.com, and finish strong. You got this.

My last day is Friday and the deal will keep me busy until then. Also have other assignments to do for other practice groups. Oh well, I'll grind it out. Stocked my desk with Red Bull and protein bars today.

Have not had to work a minute on any weekend yet, looking like that record will remaining in tact.
Working at an unambiguous 100% firm and still can't help but be a little nervous until I have the commitment in hand, which probably comes next week. No matter how rational I tell myself to be I think the worry is natural haha.

I have two questions about this situation.
In a major maket (NY, CHI, DC) and I have been working for one of the major partners in the firm. This partner has already informed recruiting or whatever group that I should be placed in her same practice area (a subgroup of litigation).
1) if I'm not sure I want to be in this group, is there any way out?
2) does this increase any chance of me getting an offer?

1) probably not. You are a prison bitch, traded for a pack of cigs.
2) yes.
