Do you guys think Milbank (currently @200k; as far as I’m aware it’s the only one on this scale) will match DPW anytime soon?!

The silence makes me think that it is going to raise above DPW.

Hopefully they will do so in the next few days so it can announce the new scale effective as from (supposedly) July 1, and the rest will follow the same.

Foley & Lardner townhall last week seemed to indicate they may not do the DPW raises but instead move everyone to a national scale (now secondary markets are at a reduced pay level compared to Chicago/NYC). If it's like past raises it won't be effective until Feb 2022. Probably will still lose people to other firms so not sure why they are being cheap - but until the memo comes out only time will tell.

Any word on when Ropes will actually deliver the match they promised on the Town Hall a fortnight ago?

Julie says we are getting it so I’m not worried. Maybe they are waiting to see if anything changes in the market before raises start being paid. Pretty sure Ropes only releases junior salaries anyway.

There really aren't. The stub year thing is a fart in the wind, and it's dumb to pay any attention to it.
