The charm of NYC is that it runs the gamut from overpriced af to cheap hidden neighborhood gems all within delivery range. So your over generalization is off base and misses the entire draw of the NYC restaurant and delivery scene. Try again.

Nobody cares whether you post there or not, some people are just seizing the opportunity to get the word out for those who do want to post on an active forum since TLS died.

Harrison Barnes finally removed the requirement that all posts be pre-approved by mods, although his auto word filters are still in place.

If mentions of another website really stress you out, I'm sure once the mods look at this thread again, any mention of L S L will be deleted.

Wish the bolded was still true in Houston. You can live well for 1800-2000/month, but "luxe" apartments often push over 3K. Now tbf, that is with 1000+ sq. feet in a new luxury building, but still, Houston, while still "cheap" compared to the coasts/chicago isnt cheap like it was 10-15 years ago.

No state sales tax is great until you buy a house. The property tax is stupid high here.

I pay around $3500/month for a 1700 sq foot 2 bedroom apartment in an 85 story building built in 2017 with a full panoramic water view and a million building amenities in an area where I can walk to work, restaurants, and the grocery store. I also pay zero state or local income tax and the temperature is 75 degrees for 9 months of the year. No bodegas tho, so I guess NYC wins
