Are we supposed to get rejection letters from screeners? I thought that was just for callbacks.

Nope pretty sure plenty of firms do rejection emails after screeners. Maybe not all of them though.Anonymous User wrote:Are we supposed to get rejection letters from screeners? I thought that was just for callbacks.

How quickly should we schedule callbacks? I've gotten some from firms I'm not incredibly excited about, but I want to give myself every opportunity to get a job and not strike out. Should I schedule these right away? Most of the firms I really want I'm interviewing with next week.

Re: Columbia EIP 2014
I've heard of it. I'm guessing it signifies that the interviewers called back the "sure things" first and got together with the other ones to decide/waited on the ones who were "on the fence." But it's definitely not common; if you hear that an interviewer has given callbacks, odds are your rejection email/snail mail is coming in a few days.Anonymous User wrote:Does it ever happen that the same interviewer makes CBs over the span of few days?

Re: Columbia EIP 2014
I'd schedule them for as soon as possible, unless you a) want a day or two to decompress from EIP, or b) have some other compelling reason to wait. Offers are made on a rolling basis, so I tend to believe your chances are very slightly better the earlier you go.Anonymous User wrote:How quickly should we schedule callbacks? I got a Shearman CB from BB this morning, and I'm pretty sure he gave out some yesterday as well.Anonymous User wrote:Does it ever happen that the same interviewer makes CBs over the span of few days?

Lol I think that's melodramatic. I'm sure the same interviewer can call on more than one day.Anonymous User wrote:Sigh, almost had closure but I'm waiting on SG.Anonymous User wrote:Cravath GS

Re: Columbia EIP 2014
Right, I thought the anon above meant to darkly suggest that when they briefly mistook SG for GS, they thought not receiving the call today from the same interviewer meant no callback ('closure'). and I highly doubt that is the case since the same interviewer has already been shown to call on multiple days for other firms at leasttxdude45 wrote:Different interviewer.Anonymous User wrote:Lol I think that's melodramatic.
