Just anecdotes of course, but based on last year's EIP thread (start around here: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... &start=275) it looks like a decent number of firms made phone calls or sent emails offering callbacks over the weekend.

8 Interviews in 2 days which, with the exception of just one, all seemed to go well.

Going to be a long couple of days...

What's the definition of "out of town" for call back hotels? If we lived somewhere else for the summer that is an hour away from NYC, but in-state, is it okay to ask for a hotel or no? It's not that the commute would be terrible but it would be more convenient.

Are recruiting offices open on weekends to schedule callbacks if we have to call to do so? Or do we wait 'til Monday?

Y'all people flipping out over not having callbacks when you haven't even done half your interviews need to dial it back a few notches. Probably 75% of the interviewers from Thursday/Friday haven't made any calls yet. The TLS population is also a wildly unrepresentative sample; of the people who put in bid lists, probably 80% were Stone and 25% were Kent. The average student can expect about six or seven callbacks and typically has somewhere in the neighborhood of a third of their interviews go to the callback stage. If by the end of next week you still don't have any callbacks, then yeah, I'd be worried. But it's way, way too early to panic, so just keep the relaxed vibe going that we had on Thursday and Friday.

Do firms usually confirm via email for callbacks? My phone has been not ringing when people call and not taking voicemails or showing me that I have missed calls.

I've only gotten confirmation emails after scheduling the callback, not in addition to the original phone call. The only solution is probably just to make sure your phone is working, unfortunately.

Yikes. Anyone heard of firms calling again if you don't answer their voicemails?

Does it ever happen that the same interviewer makes CBs over the span of few days?

For my sake I hope so, but I'm not sure. A better strategy would be to list any firms that have sent out rejections, that way you might be able to tell if you're still alive and your interviewer is just taking her sweet time. Any rejection emails yet?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
