Heard back from an LCLD position. Took 3 weeks. Ding from King & Spalding. Top 1/3 T1. Radio silence from the others.

Any white doods having success in NYC? I pulled down a 4.0 at DCN and mass mailed the V100 about three weeks ago. I'll gotten is a lot of dings and a few "we have your materials under consideration" emails. I know I was super late and wasn't really hoping for anything, but I had hoped to get some interest just based on grades. Also re typos in cover letters I may replaced only the firm instead of your firm in my template with the name of a certain V5 firm. So yeah i'm a moron

I've heard of white foods getting 1L SAs but you might have to look outside NYC. Grats on the grades

Do you think it's worthwhile to apply to a secondary market where I have ties/a place to live now? Was pretty set on NYC for personal reasons but at this point honestly just want to be able to pay my debt down if I can.

Unfortunately, I didn't get it, but I have heard of some people who applied for the same position in previous years that also didn't get an offer, but did receive an automatic CB before OCI their second year. In these cases, do people normally get the CB interview with the rejection, or do firms reach out later in the year?

I know some white food who got an SA in NYC. With those grades definitely a strong possibility, just a matter of whether they are filled yet.

For a firm? I wouldn't do it. They're just part of the corporate world where things are slow and hiring interns is pretty low on the list. They'll hire you regardless of your e-mail of continued interest.

Could just be coincidence or an anamolous data point, but I got a CB soon after sending in an updated resume

got an office invite from drinker biddle philly that says its gonna last 2.5 hours? is this callback or just 'come visit our office'?

no prior interviews with them.

Is this for their diversity SA?

2.5 hours sounds like a callback, though usually its 30 mins per interview and usually 1.5 hours for lunch so this seems to depart from that.

yea diversity. it just says invitation to meet more of our attorneys and its around 2.5 hrs block.

I'm a 1L too, but from the sound of things this sounds like it would be the final evaluation step of their process; I couldn't imagine another callback following a 2.5 hour trip to their office. Good luck!

When did you apply by the way? I applied for this but in a different market

All the Austin firms seem to love ignoring people atm. (Or they're busy and we're at the bottom of there to do list...)

This is for diversity SAs? Haven't gotten any autoCBs following my rejections after CB so I'd say you are in great shape.

I didn't do diversity so I didn't see these but what does it say? Just "call me in July to set up your callback"
