Has anyone heard from Goodwin? I haven't heard back since I applied way back in October. No reply to 2 follow ups either. It seems like they're probably done hiring?

I applied in October, had a CB in November (they said they had a week or two of CBS to do), and dinged in early December. I’m guessing they’re probably done hiring 3Ls now.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 3:54 amHas anyone heard from Goodwin? I haven't heard back since I applied way back in October. Applied to both Fenwick and Goodwin back in November - crickets since. No news is good news I guess if they're responding one way or another? Can the people who've heard back from either of those post stats?

I applied about the same time. I also reached out with an updated deadline for another opportunity (1/31) so that might have to do with the ding now, not sure if it's a wave of dings or not.nayaab05 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 6:30 pmSorry to hear that. When did you apply? I applied a week after the posting was up and still haven’t heard anything. Wondering if I should be expecting a ding soon.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 6:26 pmDing, No CB for Fenwick. I assumed that people asking being cbs meant that everyone (or at least some people had a screener already).Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Jan 15, 2021 2:04 pmI have not heard anything from Fenwick since the application (no screener or cb) so I guess I can answer no to your question. I'm assuming you did a screener, was it for the NY or California office?

Re: 2021 3L OCI
For those who have accepted full-time offers with their 2L firms, are you concerned that mass mailing might result in your 2L firm finding out and rescinding the offer? In other words, is there any concern that someone at the firm you're applying to may have a friend or acquaintance in your 2L firm and accidentally or intentionally drop the bomb?
I understand that firms are generally aware that 3Ls applying for entry-level positions have generally accepted offers from their 2L firms, especially since the pandemic pushed OCI to the spring and the deadline to accept those offers was Oct. 1. But has anyone heard of a firm calling up a friend or reference at the 2L firm?

I would apply to open positions, but I wouldn't mass mail or send out too many emails to firms you don't know for sure are actively hiring. If you don't even know a firm is looking for associates, it's not worth the risk of losing your current position. Big law is a small world.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 4:55 pmFor those who have accepted full-time offers with their 2L firms, are you concerned that mass mailing might result in your 2L firm finding out and rescinding the offer? Any news from Fenwick? I'm annoyed by their lack of communication. I only have experience recruiting with the firm I was an SA at (only one CB at OCI lol), but this seems ridiculous. I've been waiting for three months with no response.

I'm fairly certain 3Ls have been hired... my friend went to a meet the attorneys/firm event last month. As you may imagine, 3Ls aren't exactly active on this forumAnonymous User wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 4:04 pmAny news from Fenwick? I'm annoyed by their lack of communication. Has anyone heard from any CA Quinn offices post-screener? Or know of any other 3Ls having heard from those offices? It's been nearly a month - wondering if I should just assume it's a ding or if they're just moving slow on 3Ls
