2 call backs total. I have median grades. I met with CP&P, did a mock interview, they told I'm a good interviewer.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I feel hopeless. I called the recruiter for my callback to set up lodging and flights. No reply. Nothing works.

I've picked up 5 interviews. I'm at over 30. If im going to strike out, I might as well go down swinging.

How are you dealing with the stress? It's getting to me, no matter how hard I fight it.

A ding-filled day! All the dings: Paul Hastings, Simpson Thacher, A&O, Willkie Farr, Proskauer, and Clifford Chance.

BUT: Jones Day CB.

To all of the people stressed out about no CBs or few: we're going to be okay. Penn's specialty is placing people in Big Law. If we don't get offers through OCI, that just means we have more work ahead of us. Applying directly to firms, etc. We'll just have to drag out this process until September/October. And that SUCKS, but we're not going to be unemployed. And no, I'm not an optimist. Just a realist.

I'm a c/o 2017er here. Cannot agree with this more. Somehow everyone I knew, including those at the very bottom of class got market paying gigs in the end. Most all through OCI, but some by other means. If you want a law firm gig you will get it. Do not lose hope.

Also, many have messaged me in the past couple of hours. I will get to each of you tonight.

You got an email ding for Simpson? NY?

Not to interrupt the (very true!) post about keeping up hope, but I haven't heard anything good or bad for them so I'm just trying to cling to anything at this point.

I assume it takes a while for them to follow up with references--can anyone say if their references have NOT been contacted? Curious if just them reaching out is already past a filter.
