i don't know what 2013/2014 were like, but that would've been extremely good for median in 2012, if i remember donovan's stats correctly.

Hey guys, need some advice. I am unable to update my documents to correct a typo in my resumed and to add one additional piece of info to resume. Is the proper path to just prepare new resumes for next will and does that put me behind the eight ball?

KDon explicitly addressed this in his email last night. I believe contact CS was the answer.

Yeah - that would have been pretty awesome even last year.

But at the end of the day - doesn't matter how you got your interview. You still have to go in there and nail it.

So for those of you in the KDon group today, what was that about references? I didn't think that was a thing unless firms asked for them in their requests on symplicity....

Some firms require them. Check carefully through the info for each of your firms from the "Scheduled Interviews" tab in Symplicity. A&P and Covington require them. Not sure who else though. I think protocol is ask 3-5 former professors/bosses that would be willing to recommend you. Just shoot them each a quick email, and then type up a list using the same letterhead you have at the top of your resume giving their names, current positions, and contact info like email/phone. Talk to KD if you're having trouble

Not bringing references. If they ask for them, I'll just tell them I don't have them at the moment but would be happy to email them to the recruiting director. Then I'll put something together, but I don't anticipate being asked for them. Maybe not the safest course of action.

Good in general but not recommended for Covington or Arnold & Porter since they say on the Symplicity page that you need to bring references to the interview.

Yeah, none of the firms I'm interviewing with ask for references on symplicity. Paul Hastings asked to bring a writing sample, transcript, and cover letter to the interview, but didn't end up getting asked for those either.

Just a reminder: DON'T PANIC

You are not rejected until you receive a rejection letter. Just because one person gets a callback on one day does not necessarily mean you won't get one later. Firms have wait-lists, though they may not be open to you about whether you are on it or not. All that being said, make sure to KEEP HUSTLING

Not sure that's super helpful without knowing what your gpa was. I'm guessing relatively high.

Maybe this is better:

I had a 3.42 at the time, 4 PS, 14 alts, ended up with 18 interviews. Combined with special requests and hallway "will you gimme 5 minutes" I got up to 29, with job fairs 52. I had 10 CB's, got my offer after #7 and cancelled the rest. I had no w/e, and okay grades, but I hustled. In addition, even though I only got one offer, it was at a prestigious firm. Points: 1. hustle (e.g. mass mail) 2. a lot of this shit is random
