For verification of your law degree please email forumadmin atwith the word "Verification" and your username in the subject, and attach two pictures from different angles each containing your diploma and a scrap of paper with your username written on it. You can black out your real name on the photos if you prefer. Users with little or no TLS posting history might sometimes require further validation.
If you don't receive a reply to your verification email within one full business day then please send a private message to forumadmin mentioning that you haven't received a reply yet.

Posting anon because it's kinda embarrassing but I never got my diploma because it got lost in the mail and I haven't ponied up $50 to replace it since the school won't do it for free... Would a bar admission be a valid proof?

Yeah, bar admission should be sufficient - follow the directions in the OP except use the bar card/admission instead of diploma.

Re: NEW: Forum for Law School Graduates Only
Posting anon because although I fit the requirements, I'm too lazy and concerned about taking a picture of a doc with my name given how often people on this forum find my presence despicable. Just posting once and only once to say that this concept allows TLS to go a step further, and essentially become the major internet destination for lawyers and not only law students. You're getting a higher percentage of users to continue to post after graduation each year. There's also a vacancy in this market, because Above The Law is more of a gossip column than anything else, and there's a need for something like this.

Re: NEW: Forum for Law School Graduates Only
Not at all trying to convince you to do anything you don't want to do, but just wanted to emphasize that the mods absolutely do not see people's verification docs or real names. The only person who sees these things is the forumadmin, who doesn't post here and has very little understanding of who is who or anyone's posting history. And he doesn't share anyone's names or other confidential information with us.Anonymous User wrote:Posting anon because although I fit the requirements, I'm too lazy and concerned about taking a picture of a doc with my name given how often people on this forum find my presence despicable. Also, you don't even have to reveal your name:

Re: NEW: Forum for Law School Graduates Only
Well, I don't have my diploma either because it got lost when I moved. I was going to send in my transcript but apparently, the document is expired (Thank you Student Clearinghouse). Well fortunately I just remembered, my Facebook account has a nice photo of my framed diploma so this is a happy day. Note to self, hopefully nobody is trying to get my Facebook photo of my diploma to use it to gain access to this forum against the rules.

Is there a Lounge in this forum? Is it similar to the TLS lounge?

It's the best subforum because everyone generally checks their lounge personalities at the door and everyone is very helpful. It's my favorite subforum by far. You should get access!kellyfrost wrote:Is there a Lounge in this forum? Is it similar to the TLS lounge?

I have been waiting to join this esteemed group by submitting my bar card. As a July bar exam taker, should I wait or just submit my LS diploma?
