Yes it has worked for me so far, but again, Student Preference only worked if you were reasonably a candidate for that firm to begin with. If someone with a 3.3 tries to apply to a V10 firm via Student Preference, they may garner the interview but will have no real chance (even with a great interview) of securing a CB. Student Preference, used correctly, gives students the opportunity to ensure a higher likelihood that they get facetime with a firm they really want, but is only effective when you are also a candidate the firm would typically be interested in already.
