Offer from K&L Gates, Chicago office. No word yet on overall offer rate, but I would be shocked if it weren't 100%.

There is at least one no offer.

There were two no offers in one office due to lack of space. I'm sure there were others. K&L doesn't strive for the 100% offer rate like other firms.

I do not know. I have heard nothing otherwise, and I cannot imagine that any of the other summers were at risk of being no offered. But I cannot say for certain that it was 100%.

Any reason why the Baker Botts (Dallas) 2Ls will be accepting offers elsewhere?

My only guess is that many of them spent time working are arguably more prestigious firms (i.e., Davis Polk, GDC, Latham, Quinn Emmanuel, Weil) that seemingly much busier throughout the summer months.

Got an oral offer from a partner at my V5 summer firm at the end of my SA (more than two weeks ago), although haven't gotten a hard offer letter in the mail. Do I have any reason to be nervous?

I'd follow-up with the partner or recruiting. This may be the case where they simply forgot to mail out the offer letter now that OCI is in full-swing. I don't think that my firm actually mailed these letters out until a month or so after the initial offer was extended.

I did this today with my firm (with recruiting) and got a scanned offer letter within 2 minutes. I don't know if they ever mailed the letter or not; I've been transient since my SA ended and I'm not sure where it would have been sent.

I know a west coast GT no-offer. No, I don't know the reason because I am not that good of friends with the person.

Emotional week. Got no-offered at one firm and offered at another. Worked harder, got along with people better, and loved the city more of the firm that no-offered me. Bittersweet.

Dechert no offered in several cities - DC, Philadelphia, NYC. Anywhere else?

I heard from someone who was an SA that they way over-hired for the summer in NYC, so this does not surprise me. My source was worried about it when offers were coming it.

I heard the same thing last year, that they over-hired by 50% but they still gave 100% offers. Anyone know if reasons were given for the no offers?

Can confirm 8/48 no offers at BB Houston. They had a particular issue where they seem to have made a political choice in their offers after a conflict arose between two summers. A lot of people are worried about the firm's financial strength (particularly in litigation, where they only gave out 12 practice group offers among the 30 who listed it as first choice) and transparency. Many of us will be accepting elsewhere.
