Missed Wilkie Farr at 21... Bummed cuz a friend got Wilkie at 21. Seems you needed to put it 20 or above to assure a slot.

Got DPW at 20 and Simpson at 25

 to 26 interviews. I think that's the best yield I've heard of.

Got 20 interviews. I think people bid more aggressive than usual as I missed Cleary at 18, Debevoise at 13 and SullCrom at 15.

It seems like a lot of people missed Cleary. Maybe they're cutting down on interview slots? Then again, it seemed they were very popular during reception season.

I missed DPW at 25, seems like you bid it perfectly.

Got 21 Interviews, including Proskauer, but I bid it at #1. I only did so because I was copying off a bid list I found on TLS, but apparently it was necessary.

I got Proskauer at 2 so I think it came down to luck for the people who bid Proskauer 2.

I had a 5 minute break between two interviews. It was fine. Do you know the floors? Just use the stairs rather than the elevator, which can be slow, and do prep for both of them before the first one.

Based on how different this year is from last, and who ended up with what based on where they bid it, I would guess that either (1) the new curve had a very big effect on how people bid, or (2) Career Services moved some interview slots around to spread them out more equally (yes, this happens).

I regret bidding Proskauer (stupidly put it 6). I should've realized that if it wasn't top 2, it wasn't gonna happen.

On another note, how far down the list did people get Debevoise?

I have 2 interviews with a 5 minute gap, followed by a 15 minute gap, followed by 2 more interviews with 5 minute gaps...

Should prove interesting seeing as how I don't want to drop any of those firms.

Here's the thing -- I found that more than a 30 minute gap and I started losing my momentum. You get a bit of an adrenaline rush running from interview to interview, and I liked having my interviews very close together. You might find it works out alright for you.

got 20. pretty excited. many of the ones I missed were never gonna happen anyway. have 7 on one day, with five of those in succession. hope the "momentum" mentioned above applies to me.

If I have an interview with Kirkland Ellis in NYC, I can add Kirkland Ellis DC via add/drop without issue, right? Or is this what "no multiple interviews" means?

I think the no multiple interviews thing still applies. But you should contact career/student services just to make sure.

Just called. Was basically told that that no multiple interviews means no multiple interviews. But the system doesn't allow you to place multiple interviews that you aren't supposed to have. So if you can add it during add/drop, it's ok to add.

God dammit. My flight is going to board in a few minutes and it doesn't look like I'll be able to add anything. Stupid website.

Holy crap. ADD DROP IS AWESOME.

I'm up to 27 interviews. Was it a bad idea to bid on NJ firms? They are all cities that are very close to NYC.

Added 6 interviews, all good stuff that I really wanted. <3 my interview list at the moment.

ETA: Also, do we have a formal policy regarding when you get shut out of Symplicity and OCS stuff? I've been mass mailing (even to firms coming to EIP) and I assumed we didn't have a code against contacting firms outside of EIP. Anyone have a hard answer on this?

Saw no need to add firms I had no interest in. But I did add 3 and now I'm at 21. I had dropped some earlier because I realized I really didn't care to much for them in the first place. 27 is cool, I'm assuming you big on a lot of markets. I was tempted.

I'm not sure what you mean, Pico. Won't the firm just tell you to wait for EIP if they don't want to bother with you?

I'm going to mail all EIP firms that I have an interest in but didn't get an interview with. Should go out in the next day or two.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
